Description
Printing Control has achieved G7 certification for calibrating proofing and press equipment to G7 standards set by IDEAlliance. Our G7 Certification was granted through implementing a calibration process that achieves a close visual match from proof-to-press. Printing Control made the move to standardize to G7 so we can meet customer requests for a similar visual appearance between proofs and presses. Because G7 is device independent it doesn't matter which of our presses are used or which paper it is printed on. Printing Control can meet all G7 printing needs, both at home and abroad through the power of scale offered by Airport Printing Service. The G7 proof-to-print process is based on the principles of digital imaging, spectrophotometry, and computer-to-plate technologies. G7 is a simple calibration process that allows our network of printers to reliably achieve a visual match between proofing and printing methods. G7 offers the following benefits: - Reduced costs, decrease turn-around times, and avoid re-makes. - Develop internal guidelines for reliable process controls. - Acquire print predictability: know what you'll get on press before you get there. - Demonstrate printing quality through achievable print guidelines and target goals. - Build upon the education in fundamentals of printing and developing technologies. - Clarification of what is reasonable to ask of print suppliers. ...
