In 1954, ASECU was founded specifically for Alabama State Employees. Since then, ASECU has significantly expanded its product and service offerings while opening its doors to members of the community. With a community charter granted in 2001, ASECU was allowed to expand its membership to people living or working in nine surrounding counties of Montgomery. Policies are stricter due to limited availability of information to us and to safeguard member's accounts. Stand-alone service center hours are 9 a.m.- 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday. Service Center outlets in existing credit unions are open regular credit union hours.
