The ALABAMA VISION CENTER is conveniently located directly on Montclair Road, on the Baptist Montclair Hospital Campus in Birmingham, Alabama. It's founder and Medical Director, Price M. Kloess, M.D., is a native of Birmingham. After a career in the United States Air Force Medical Corp, he returned in 1994 to his home in Birmingham to begin private practice. Dr. Kloess is a board certified Ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and glaucoma laser and surgery. He is also a fellowship trained Cornea and Refractive Specialist having received his training at the prestigious Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Kloess is an experienced refractive surgeon, having performed thousands of laser vision correction procedures (LASIK and PRK). He is recognized as an expert in the field of Refractive Surgery having taught surgeons all over the country how to perform incisional and laser refractive procedures. Our practice at the Alabama Vision Center offers comprehensive eye care services ranging from examinations for contact lenses and glasses to most types of eye laser surgery. We see adult and pediatric patients. Specific medical services include: eye examinations for contact lenses and glasses; diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, corneal diseases and macular degeneration.
