During October 2001 and 2002 this site was the Internet telecommunications hub for a global audience of over 1 million participants for Global Learn Day Five and Six. This 28 hour event spans the globe from the international date line in the Pacific throughout Oceania, Antarctica, Austral Asia, the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East, Northern, Central and Southern Europe, Latin America and finishing in North America late Sunday, October 7, 2001 and Sunday October 13, 2002.
