Description

The Alameda Aero Club has always been a not-for-profit club dedicated to making flying accessible and affordable to everyone. We are based at Oakland International Airport (KOAK) in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. We welcome new members from anywhere in the world and from all walks of life. The club began as the Aero Club of the Naval Air Station in Alameda. When the Navy closed NAS Alameda, the club moved to its current location at Oakland Airport and opened its membership to everyone. Our aircraft and clubhouse are located in the "Old T-hangars" area of the North Field, just off of Harbor Bay Parkway. We have about 170 members and own two Cessna 172s. We rely solely on member dues and rental income to keep us financially solvent. We also rely heavily on our members' voluntary work to keep the club organized and working efficiently.
