Our desserts have been featured in the Neiman Marcus Holiday catalogs for the past 18 seasons, Norm Thompson's for the past 4 seasons, and this year for the first time online at Delightful Deliveries. What is Alaska Silk....where mousse and a fudge meet! It's not as heavy and dence as a fudge but it's not as light and airy as a mousse; it's very similar to the interior of a "Fine Truffle" only smoother and richer if you can imagine that. All of Our Sinfully Decadent Chocolate Desserts are produced using only the finest ingredients available.....Guittard chocolates, pure heavy cream, unsalted butter, and pasteurized eggs because this is not a baked product and the pasteurized eggs insures that there can be "NO" salmonella. Our pasteurized eggs have been heated to 161 degrees for 3 minutes and that is what kills the salmonella. Alaska Silk Pies will serve 10 to 16 people comfortably depending on how you would like to serve them and which dessert you purchase. If the dessert is a full 3 LB. dessert as our Cafe Diablo is then a 16th of this dessert is a 3 OZ. portion and a 12th of this dessert would be a 4 OZ. portion. Try to equate this dessert to how many 1 OZ. truffles you might eat or serve!! If you are serving your dessert for an afternoon tea or just chocolate fever then you might want to serve a larger slice.
