Hamilton County Telephone Co-op was created in July 1953 in an effort to provide an effective communication system among our rural areas and its members. Since then, we have grown our Co-op and its subsidiaries to improve the quality of services throughout our community into many different aspects of the communications industry. In 1992, we created Hamilton County Communications, Inc. to provide internet solutions and business telephone system sales and support.

Welcome to Hamilton County Communications, Inc. We are a subsidiary of Hamilton County Telephone Co-op located in Dahlgren, Illinois. Our company provides quality high-speed internet solutions and business telephone systems throughout a large portion of Southern Illinois. Hamilton County Telephone Co-op provides landline telephone service throughout the rural areas of Hamilton County and bordering six counties. Our goal is to provide high-quality services in our rural areas that you might typically only see in cities.

Hamilton County Telephone Co-op is a non-profit cooperative owned by its members. As a cooperative, payments for telephone service by members that exceed the cost of providing the service are called 'margins.' Hamilton County Telephone establishes an account for each member and credits to each account a portion of these margins based on the member's use of Hamilton County's telephone network. These credits are used by the cooperative as capital to provide facilities and services to our members and cannot be refunded (or retired) until the financial condition of the cooperative permits.

Hamilton County Construction, Inc. was formed in April 2007 to fill a need within our own organization, but also to meet the demand in our community. Our team will work with you to provide a thorough consultation of the services you are in need of. Although we primarily focus on telephone construction such as cable, copper and fiber installation, we have also assisted customers with directional boring, backhoe and plowing work. We have continued to expand our business and crew as the demand from our region has increased.
