Our Business Founded by Al Tavakkoli in 1987, ALCO originated from a little 800 sq. foot machine shop in a sub-city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. With hard work and dedication, ALCO became a familiar name within the Automotive industry, working with the likes of General Motors, Ford Motor Co., AGS Automation, and Vanrob. In 1999 ALCO occupied a facility of 25,000 sq. feet and employed over 50 employees. During this time, a second operations plant was opened in Los Angeles, California, USA.
