Alene R&D experts include a staff of veteran chemists and lab technicians dedicated to candle formulation, testing and innovation. Our head chemist is also a contributing committee member of the National Candle Association (NCA). In addition, our marketing and creative office is located in New York City, allowing us to have our fingers on the pulse of the world´s most current design and fragrance trends.

Determined to build a new kind of candle company, Paul Amato and his wife Nancy Alene Amato founded Alene Candles in Milford, New Hampshire in 1995. Paul took his 25 years’ experience in the home fragrance and candle industries and applied it to his mission of “efficient artisanship.” This solid foundation, as well as a team of industry veterans and our custom-built state-of-the-art testing laboratories, allows Alene to produce the best and brightest in the industry.

Alene's artisanship combined with efficiency makes us an effective solution for your business needs, no matter the size or complexity. Because we are solely a contract manufacturer of private label brands and do not produce our own line, we are able to focus entirely on manufacturing your candle to your exact specifications.
