Over the past 86 years, Alex Power Equipment has served the area with quality products for business, residential, and agriculture. Formerly Newhouse Machinery, Carl Newhouse began business in 1921, with his son, Julian, taking over the business from him. In 1990 four longtime employees purchased the business from Julian Newhouse. Later in 1999 the three current owners, Allan Buse, Dave Deakins and Tom Townsend purchased the fourth share of the company. Newhouse Machinery resided in downtown Alexandria, Minnesota for 78 years, until October 1st 2002.
