Alice Carlton is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years experience. She received her Masters in Social Work from the School of Social Work of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1976 with a specialty in Mental Health. After four years as Social Worker with Tree House, Inc., a residential treatment program for adolescents in Chapel Hill, she worked at the psychiatric unit of Alamance Memorial Hospital in Burlington, NC, becoming Chief Clinical Social Worker and beginning some private practice on the side. In 1987, after seven years at Alamance, she left and moved into full-time private practice in Chapel Hill.
