I am interested in people who are interested in long term employment here at the shop .In other words you know this is the kind of work you would like to do and are willing to make a real commitment to it. I Would like someone with at least four years of full time work experience. Knowledge of electronics a plus. However I will train the right person to an extent, but you must have a true desire to learn electronic theory and repair and be willing to have the right disposition to work with the public. Good logic, deductive reasoning skills, plain good old common sense, and a good memory are also a must for this type of work. You must be a hard working self motivated individual to be able to do this job. Duties include: Repair of electronic musical equipment, Light shipping and receiving, interaction with customers at the front counter and on the phone, writing repairs in & out, , light paper work and filing of warranty claim forms. This position is about 50% customer service and office work and 50% repair work We are completely computerized here at the shop ... So computer literacy is a must. Pay is dependent on experience. Honesty and being a self starter is also very important. If you are just looking for "something to do" while you are waiting to become rich and famous I wish you all the best, but if that is your ultimate goal ..Then this position would not be right for you. OK so I really do not want to discourage anybody, but if you are thinking that this will be the worlds easiest job... it is not. While it is rewarding, it is also very challenging because you will be working directly with the public. If you want a job with no stress .. this is not the one for you. If you want a job that will challenge you while affording you the opportunity to learn some very useful repair skills and some equally useful life skills then perhaps this would be the job for you. Now if at this point if you are thinking to yourself .. hey maybe I will just give it a stab and see how it goes. Sorry been there, done that. If you are not willing to make a 100% commitment to this job, me and the customers then please take a pass. I know some of this sounds a bit harsh, but it really wreaks havoc on the business, the customers, and me to hire people that just want to "see how it goes".
