We have a long history working with Canadian companies. Canadian banks and corporate institutions were amongst our first international clients when the firm was founded in 1930.

Highly regarded by the legal directories, our antitrust and competition team is ranked in the GCR Global Elite. Our award-winning team consists of many of the leading practitioners in the field. This includes a former director of criminal enforcement at the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and of the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for Competition Policy, former judicial assistants at the European Court of Justice (ECJ), professors of law at prominent universities and the president of the International Bar Association.

Our global team, comprising lawyers from across our international offices, includes Canadian nationals who have an understanding and awareness of both international and Canadian markets and who bring both public and private sector expertise to the table. Our global network and close ties with premier Canadian legal firms enables us to provide a comprehensive and informed service to our clients across a broad range of transactions.

We have extensive experience of acting for food and drink and other consumer products clients, assisting with both national matters and those that span a number of jurisdictions.

The traditional law firm model is under pressure and lacks flexibility. In a low growth environment, peaks in client demand are far more variable, so we need greater flexibility in our model. We also want to provide an option for those high-calibre lawyers who enjoy the challenge of working with top tier clients without the added demands of working in a large law firm.
