Welcome to the Allen County SPCA’s (ACSPCA) Volunteer Program. We are pleased that you are considering donating your time and talents to benefit the animals. We hope you will find many opportunities that will be both rewarding and fulfilling for you. We encourage you to ask questions, make suggestions, explore various volunteer opportunities, and share your experiences with others. Staff positions include but are not limited to Animal Care Manager and Animal Care Specialists. These positions require attention to detail, animal care training, customer service and time management skills, and the ability to work with volunteers. Although staff members are glad to assist volunteers, please ensure that you do not interfere with their ability to perform their duties. Staff members have the important responsibility of providing for the needs of our shelter animals. We ask that you consult a staff member if you are unsure about performing a task, especially in relation to the care of an animal. Should you have questions about the role and responsibilities of staff members, please consult the Director or Animal Care Manager.
