Description

On-line and telephonically, or in person, the fee for our counseling services is $50.00 or $75.00 for joint filers with the first to use our service being charged $50.00 and the second being charged $25.00. Upon sucessful completion of the counseling session, a certificate of completion will be issued. This certificate will meet the requirements of the Bankruptcy Prevention and Consumer Protection Act. On-line and telephonically, or in person, the fee for our Personal Financial Management Instructional Course is $50.00 or $75.00 for joint filers with the first to use our service being charged $50.00 and the second being charged $25.00. Upon successful completion of the course, each debtor student will be issued a certificate of completion. This certificate will meet the requirements of the Bankruptcy Prevention and Consumer Protection Act. Any client may request a waiver of the counseling fee. Approval of the waiver is based, in part, on the criteria below. A decision will be made on a case by case basis and the class may be available for free, not based on the client's ability to pay. Allen Credit and Debt Counseling Agency's Fee Waiver Policy is as follows; the client will need to send us copies of the following documentation through the mail: last 3 months of paystubs, last 3 years of tax returns, last 3 months of bank statements, and a brief narrative of the client's situation. If any of the required documents are missing, just let us know why they are missing in the narrative. Mail all the information and a phone number to: ACDCA, PO Box 195, Wessington, SD 57381. A client may receive a fee waiver if the annual household income is less than 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines issued by the Department of Health and Human Services or if the client is receiving pro bono legal representation for their bankruptcy filing.
