July 1, 2008 Re: Allen Sinquefield Letter of Reference To Whom It May Concern, The purpose of this letter is to provide a letter of reference for Allen Sinquefield whom I hired as a contractor to GXS Inc to fulfill the position of a consulting specialist within the product engineering and support group for GXS' Trading Grid Management Service (TGMS). TGMS is one of the world largest business to business trading network services supporting approximately 200,000 trading partners, 1 billion transactions & 1 trillion dollars annually in electronic business transactions. TGMS is a mission critical system for GXS and many of it clients / trading partners. In his role as a consulting specialist, Allen was required to assume responsibility for a series of background tools that were critical to the seamless migration of clients from GXS' legacy ecommerce service to TGMS hosted on a clustered HA Linux platform. The base foundation of the migration programs that Allen worked on had been created but were not well documented, required ongoing support and considerable enhancement to allow for the continued migration of clients to TGMS. The program modules required that Allen learn the business process flows of the legacy system as well as the business process flows of the TGMS system. The solutions that Allen employed included a variety of methods from simple data extract through legacy character based user interfaces / terminal session simulations to real time updates of Oracle databases. Creativity, adaptability, rapid assimilation of information and persistence are key traits that Allen demonstrated in his successful support of the seamless migration of tens of thousand of clients between systems for GXS.
