About our Services We believe in Manufactured Housing in a Big Way. It has provided good quality affordable housing to millions for many years. And it is transportable, which gives the owner much more flexibility, allowing nice homes in remote areas where conventional construction costs would be prohibitive. And replacing your manufactured home with a bigger or better home is usually very feasible. It's fairly simple to move the old one off and move the new one in. You're in your new home within a few weeks. Built in a factory, climate controlled environment, the home-under-construction isn't tortured by the weather. Lumber isn't twisted by the hot sun. Mud isn't tracked through the house. There are no rain delays in a factory. And today's manufactured housing has the same look and feel as conventional. The same financing is available. All that aside, with manufactured housing you get a lot of bang for your buck. Compare amenities and "square foot" costs between manufactured housing and conventional housing and you'll be amazed at the difference. How Do We Fit In? Our specialty is that we install, inspect, and certify Engineered Foundation Systems for existing manufactured homes.

Will you move my mobilehome? Do you do major repairs? We specialize in foundations and minor repairs. For foundations, we install them, we inspect them, we repair them, we certify them. Other than that, we do releveling and other handyman work on mobilehomes. We don't set up or move mobilehomes. Why might I need a foundation? While a support system (see Support System below) holds up the weight of the building (the vertical load), a foundation adds resistance to sideways forces (lateral loads). Any building might have lateral forces pushing on it from 1) moving air (wind), 2) moving water (flood) or 3) moving earth (earthquake). A proper foundation will resist those lateral forces. In Kern County, mobilehomes are not required to have foundations but the home is a lot more stable if it does have a foundation.
