Healing from Vertigo By c1stPeter224 - Aug 28, 2010 One day as I was standing in a retail store visiting with the owner, I began to feel very dizzy and light headed. I immediately left there and proceeded to my home. It was extremely difficult to drive. My head began to feel like I was on a carnival ride that wouldn't end. It had some appearances of heat exhaustion, so I just increased my water intake. By the next day it had only worsened. My husband took me to an M.D. to find out I had what they refer to as vertigo. The doctor told me that all they could do is provide a decongestant and a pill for motion sickness. She said that this could last between two weeks and two months. Every patient is different, sometimes it could last longer. There was really nothing they could do to help me. Needless to say, I spent the next five days in bed, unable to do anything. It was very frightening. Then I consulted a friend who told me about Dr. Bogan. I made an appointment and received care that very day. Dr. Bogan and his staff were very kind, compassionate and encouraging. Dr. Bogan told me that he used a procedure called laser therapy and had 100% success. He told me that usually within three visits, I would see significant results. I was desperate! If he said it would work then I just believed him. It sure didn't make much sense how a little light beam would stop all the dizziness, but sure enough it did. I remember driving to my third visit and feeling like I was in a cloud. My processing and memory were being affected. When I got to Dr. Bogan's office he sat me on a table with the laser beam pointing to back of my head. As I was looking at the clock and seeing words written on different types of equipment, I began to feel clearness in my vision. Then dizziness stopped. By the time I left that day I felt 100% better. I got in my car and drove with no trouble seeing. It was amazing, everything was clear again and there was no more spinning!!! Thank you Dr. Bogan and staff for your faithfulness to serve your patients with such enthusiasm and commitment! You're awesome!!! August 26, 2010 My name is Cindy Crowder, and I am a very active 47 yr old. In September of 2007 I was running through the house with my grandchildren when I jumped on the bed and the room started spinning. It was like no spinning I had ever experienced. I lay still for several minutes but the spinning did not stop. I sat up on the bed and it was so bad that it was causing my head to pull to the right. For the next several months my life was a living hell. I saw my PCP the following Monday. I was unable to care for myself. I couldn't walk without the sensation of falling. I couldn't sleep. Everything made me nauseous. He said I had Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) and prescribed an injection of steroids and oral steroids along with Ativan (used for inching & vertigo). I did get some relief for a couple days but the vertigo then returned with a vengeance. Over the next three months I was referred to a Neurologist, two different Ear Nose & Throat doctors, an Audiologist and a Chiropractor without any relief.
