For years, Dr. Rosenthal has established himself as a leader in retina surgery and in the eye care community. Some years ago, he co-founded The Vision Alliance, a consortium of some of the highest quality and most patient-centered eye surgeons in the region. The name “Alliance Retina” is a nod to their tradition for excellence and ethical care. Last year, we made a decision to package our services in a way that could best help those who seek to do the best for their patients. Rather than grow a competitive practice, we have created a portable service that seeks to “grow others”.

Kara Kessinger, COA, COPS is a Certified Ophthalmic Photographer and Opthalmic Technician. She has exerts in all areas of ophthalmic photography and computerized imaging systems. Kara has worked with Dr. Rosenthal for over 10 years, both as senior staff photographer and also as a scribe, surgery coordinator, and ophthalmic technician.

Tammy Brinkman has been the Supervising Director of the Retina Service for over 15 years. She is a Certified Ophthalmic Technician and has expertise in all related technologies. She coordinates all surgical services and educational activities. Tammy also coordinates clinical research activities. She has also assisted Dr. Rosenthal in surgery in the third world and with various charitable activities.

We pioneered in-house, customized retinal services in host offices over 20 years ago and continue to lead the way. This is highly efficient, helps practice overhead, and is extremely popular with patients. Office care at your location is coordinated with other care through telemedicine and other technologies. Retinal Procedures In this day and age, we cannot treat everything, but we can help with more problems than ever before. Whether it is with lasers or injections in the office, or with more extensive surgery in the operating room, we can now significantly improve problems that only a few years ago were untreatable. While many retina centers are just now exploring retinal surgery in the outpatient setting, we have been leaders in outpatient retinal surgery for over 15 years.
