The Alliance of Delray first became aware of the insidiousness of Cyber Citizens during last year's state legislative session. With the help of the South Palm Beach county legislators we managed to stop two bills from coming out of committee. Before a bill can go before the full house and senate for a vote it must be passed out of committee, (forwarded). A bill must also have the sponsorship of both a legislator and the sponsorship by a senator to come out of committee and be voted on. Our purpose is to have bills we are against not come out of committee, while supporting bills we consider helpful so they will pass through committee and move on to the full house and senate for vote. Attached is an explanation of the 2006 bills now in committee and the major issues they contain that will profoundly effect the operation of our communities.
