Allied Infotech was founded in 1952 by Sam Zulia (Sr.). While working at Charles Mayer Studios as a professional photographer, he was asked to take a microfilm machine to a customer and film their documents. Mr. Zulia (Sr.) fell in love with the process of handling documents and decided to open his own firm. Allied Microfilm was born in the back of a barber shop providing reproduction services to a variety of industries.
