Alma del Monte was built as a home for new and old friends and family. The soaring ceilings, massive vigas, and wide portals form an excellent backdrop for the antiques, curiosities, and objects d'art the innkeepers have collected during their world travels. Sculpture, fine art, and old world craftsmanship are showcased throughout the hacienda. Pictures of the taos lodging amenities. Includes romantic fire place. In the Spirit of the Mountain, we attempt to use natural and energy saving systems and products as much as possible. From the compost bin to the recycling tubs, from organic foods to a passive solar heating system, we try to be good stewards of the land, the water, and all our resources. We have recently completed new, state-of-the-art additions to our home including a latilla topped carport, a semi-circular brick patio to the west, extensive brickwork on all the portals, and a new multi-purpose room for art classes with workshops, wedding preparation, and storage...
