Description

Acupuncture originated in China over 3,000 years ago. It is part of the holistic system of healing known as Traditional Chinese Medicine ("TCM"). Acupuncture is the gentle insertion of very fine needles specific points on the body. This process stimulates movement of energy within the body, allowing natural healing to take place. These points are selected based on years of training acupuncturists receive based on over 3,000 years of experience in China.

With over 20 years of experience as a Health & Fitness Trainer/Instructor, and 15+ years experience practicing therapeutic massage, Donna has also served as a corporate health and wellness advisor. In higher education, Donna was the Program Chair of a massage program she established at a private college in Winter Park where later she became a science instructor and then Department Chair of Allied Health. In private practice for 8 years, in July of 2013 Donna accepted a position with Florida Hospital to assist them with establishing acupuncture at select Florida Hospital locations.
