Our manager research process identifies Long/Short Equity hedge fund managers whom we believe have a discernible “edge” in their investment process, and have a track-record of producing attractive risk-adjusted returns. Of course, past performance is no guarantee of future results. In turn, once a manager is selected to participate in the program, AlphaHedge is able to make available the hedged equity strategies in a managed account format. AlphaHedge has partnered with its affiliate, Persimmon Capital Management, LP, to augment our manager research capabilities. The Persimmon team has been researching alternative managers for over 25 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the sourcing and due diligence process. Following the initial due diligence, AlphaHedge provides ongoing monitoring and Advisor support/education, providing the Advisor with the flexibility to meet dynamic investment needs. This may take the form of monthly commentaries, quarterly investor conference calls featuring an underlying strategy provider, individual meetings with AlphaHedge or Persimmon investment professionals.
