Founded in November 1988 as a company specializing in the repair and service of induction equipment, Alpha 1 is now a premier coil repair and service provider to users of induction heating equipment, particularly in the forging industry. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Alpha 1’s primary mission is to get their customers back into operating condition as quickly as possible when problems arise.

While new induction forging systems are supplied by the Inductoheat and IHWT Newelco Inductotherm Group brands, Alpha 1 continues our commitment to providing outstanding customer service to the forging industry.

Being part of Inductotherm Group, which is made up of 40 companies, definitely has its benefits. In cooperation with the group’s Mass Heating Division, Alpha 1 builds coil-stand assemblies, material-handling equipment and control equipment for the 40- to 60-ton/hour mini-mill market. Alpha 1’s extensive experience in the forging industry makes them an ideal fit to provide the reliable, heavy-duty equipment required.

For many years Alpha 1 supplied induction heating, heat treating and forging systems throughout North America. As a part of the Inductotherm Group we have focused on what we do best, coils and repair services along with a complete line of material handling equipment. We can add or replace equipiment on your existing lines or work with our sister companies to provide new induction systems.

It is possible for electronic cardiac implants to be affected by extraneous electric fields radiated by contactors and similar electromagnetic devices. Personnel, including visitors, fitted with such devices should therefore not stand in the immediate vicinity of the induction power supplies and coils when it is switched on. Further information should be sought from the appropriate area medical authority or from the manufacturer of the implant.
