SNOW NOTICE It is a violation of Alpine City and Highland City ordinance to park any vehicle on any City street from DECEMBER 1 TO MARCH 31 between the hours of 12:00 A.M. AND 8:00 A.M., and ANY TIME THERE IS SNOW IN THE STREET. Vehicles may be towed/removed at the owner’s expense. Cul-de-sacs that have vehicles parked in the street will NOT be plowed. It is also prohibited to deposit snow in the travel portion of a City street or to obstruct a public sidewalk with snow. If you have visitors, please remember to inform them of these regulations. We appreciate your compliance to assist the City in maintaining safe and accessible streets during the winter months!! Ord. No. 2006-19 2009 Campaign Financial Reports The attached pdf includes the financial reports for Bradley Reneer and Troy Stout who were elected to the city council. I am excited to welcome the New Year. With the change of the date on the calendar we usher in other changes to our city. We welcome Troy Stout and Bradley Reneer to the City Council. We plan to hit the ground running in our first meeting this month. We need to move forward on the 100 South Park plan so that we can get construction started as soon as the weather warms. When I put the call out for people interested in the Planning Commission, I was pleased to hear from so many of you. It has been difficult to whittle down the 20 names to fill two positions. I thank you for your desire to serve and am grateful that there are so many that care about the future of Alpine. I will present my choices for these positions at the January 12th Council meeting. We will also be presenting names for members of the PRO Committee and the Board of Adjustments. It takes a large team to make the city run smoothly. You’ll notice the article marking the passing of Van Burgess and Bob Mendenhall. Alpine lost two great men that day. I am grateful for the legacy they leave and for the families that they raised here in Alpine. As always, I am open to hear what you are thinking about Alpine. Let me know what we can do to improve the services we provide. I am usually at City Hall on Friday mornings and would be glad to meet with you.
