Alpine Research Optics supplies precision OEM laser optics and subassemblies to manufacturers of lasers, laser-based systems, and instruments in a broad range of demanding applications. To stay at the forefront of optical fabrication technology, we are continually investing in new equipment, including polishing equipment, coating chambers and state-of-the-art metrology. We offer plano, spherical and cylindrical optics with coatings from 193nm through 5 microns.

Our laser mirrors deliver an unmatched combination of high reflectivity, high damage threshold, excellent mechanical durability and long operational lifetime. The technology employed to fabricate these high performance mirrors has evolved from our extensive experience in producing optics for some of the world’s most demanding laser systems and applications. These include the world’s largest laser system (at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory National Ignition Facility) and beam delivery optics for state-of-the-art microlithography tools.

However, these stock products represent just a small sampling of our production capabilities. The bulk of our business is devoted to the manufacture of optics built to customer supplied specifications. We can readily produce optics customized in virtually every aspect, including size, shape, substrate material, surface specifications and performance characteristics. These high performance flat mirrors are intended for general purpose beam steering tasks in solid state laser based applications and systems. ARO’s extensive experience in supplying optics for demanding solid state laser applications, such as the National Ignition Facility at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, has enabled us to develop optics that deliver an optimum combination of high reflectivity, superior laser damage resistance and excellent mechanical durability.
