Kathy Runyan moved to Alta, Wyoming in 1991 with her husband, Cody, and their three children to escape the rapid growth occurring in Jackson Hole. They loved what Teton Valley offered and though the children are grown, they grew up horseback riding, skiing, snowmobiling and fishing in the surrounding mountains and have been instilled with an appreciation for nature and beauty that certainly can’t be found in a city or at the mall. Kathy was the managing broker for the Coldwell Banker office for several years before starting Alta Realty in 2000. The horse head logo was chosen to promote the horse-raising that the family has done over the years and for the metal horse sculpture located on the front lawn of Alta Realty in downtown Driggs, Idaho -- created by her oldest son Josh.
