Polaris Research Group (PRG), was founded in 1994 as a spin-off from the Advanced Electro-Optics Applications Lab of Westinghouse Naval Systems Division with government and corporate sanction to offer a portfolio of recently declassified advanced technologies, services, and expertise to industry. Using these technologies and a host of modern design techniques and tools, PRG develops practical, economical, optimized optomechanical and optoelectronic assemblies for critical medical, industrial and scientific applications. PRG is proud of its record in meeting complex customer commitments on time, on cost and on spec while providing full services and support from initial concept through volume production. PRG has developed a concept, a process and a set of tools to address the growing requirements for compact and economical microscope optics with very high performance designed to be embedded in new clinical and scientific instruments where the image data is to be analyzed via computer.
