In 2001 in an effort to improve the environment, Alto Concrete Recycling Company, Incorporated, a material division of Alto Construction Company, began accepting free of charge concrete and asphalt that has been demolished. These “raw” materials are reused by processing them, which produces crushed concrete, crushed asphalt base material and other materials. We have two yards in Tampa. One is located at 4102 Causeway Blvd. (East of downtown Tampa, near the Tampa Port Authority) and the other at 5701 W. Linebaugh Ave. (just South of Anderson Road, near Veterans Expwy) We accept free of charge broken concrete [i.e. cinder blocks, lawn edging, pavers, bathroom tile, kitchen tile, granite, rock and ceramic roof tiles], asphalt and dirt without grass and roots. For a nominal cost, we offer 20 yard Roll-Off Containers for loading concrete, asphalt and dirt only. The roll-off containers cannot include grass, roots or other debris. Containers are only available from the Linebaugh yard. We will drop a container and when ready, pickup and deliver an empty one. Please call 813-962-0460 for availability. All road base material is available from both yards. The raw material is processed through a crushing machine and the rock size varies depending on the screen used. The other materials, as indicated by the asterisk (*), are only available from the Linebaugh yard.
