Fountains included in Bertram Goodhue’s original design but stalled due to the Great Depression will also (finally) be installed as part of this project. For over 30 years, BVH and Alvine have collaborated on many maintenance and restoration projects for the State Capitol.

Carroll County State Bank is a locally-owned and managed community bank founded in 1870. Their new facility, positioned along a busy corridor in central Iowa, was designed to offer high functionality while contributing an eye-catching and environmentally friendly element area.

Alvine and Associates, Inc. was founded in 1961 as a mechanical and electrical systems design and consulting firm. We have experienced stable and continual growth under the direction of the second generation of leadership. The firm has developed expertise in fire protection engineering, architectural lighting design, building commissioning services, technology systems design, and life support systems engineering. Now operating as three brands, Alvine Engineering, IP Design Group, and Alvine Aquatics provide comprehensive engineering services to the A/E/C industry.

Alvine Engineering was contracted to provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems design for the renovation of the popular Apostle Islands' Raspberry Island lighthouse. Unoccupied since for several decades, the Park Service now sought to provide quarters for seasonal staff.

Doug Hampton has earned certification as an Energy Management Professional (EMP) from the Energy Management Association (EMA.) The EMA was founded by the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) and is dedicated to advancing the quality of energy management products and services for the benefit of the building owner.
