E rica Berger, LCSW-C, LICSW is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice in Washington, D.C. She provides a broad range of counseling services including individual, family, couples and group therapy. In addition, she has completed the intensive clinical externship program in Family Therapy with the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York. Areas of specialty include: anxiety; depression; family communication; family transitions; adolescent development; adjustment to illness; and bereavement.

Mary Karapetian Alvord, Ph.D, and Patricia Baker, Ph.D, LCSW-C, BCD joined to form a therapy practice within a pediatrician’s office in 1983. They shared a common value of helping adults and children improve the quality of their lives by building on their existing strengths. Their practice grew and took further shape by developing strategies that resulted in cognitive and behavioral change; working with entire families and their extended system (those who are important to the client); and maintaining consistent respect for each client’s process.

Dr. Veronica Raggi, a licensed psychologist at Alvord, Baker & Associates, LLC, with an emphasis on parenting intervensions and school-based treatment of child and adolescent ADHD. She also has developed an iPhone App called CBT Tools for Kids. Dr. Steve Silverman, , Director of Assessment for the Weinfeld Education Group. Dr. Silverman co-authored "School Success for Kids with ADHD", "School Success for Kids with Asperger's Syndrom" and "101 School Successs Tools for Students with ADHD". He also served as a school psychologist in Montgomery County Public Schools for over 30 years.

Lynn Bufka, Ph.D . is a licensed psychologist. She completed post-doctoral training at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University under the supervision of Dr. David Barlow. Her clinical expertise is in the cognitive behavioral treatment of anxiety disorders. In addition to the treatment of anxiety disorders in adolescents and adults, Dr. Bufka is interested in issues related to identity development and cross-cultural adaptation and has experience working with these issues with college students and young adults.
