The owner and operator of Ambassador Guide Services is Bill McBurney. Bill was Lees Ferry’s first licensed Guide on the River. He was born and raised in what he refers to as “the best state in the Nation: Arizona. He has been one of Arizona’s most sought after guides with his diversity in fishing many areas in Arizona from “trophy” Rainbows at Lees Ferry and now teaching Striper’s on the Fly Rod at Lake Powell. Bill has over 25 year of experience and is considered a premier guide and asset to the fisheries of Arizona by other fishing professionals”.Bill is licensed by the United States Coast Guard, the Department of Interior, Forest Service and the State of Arizona as a Guide and Boat & Safety Instructor and also contracted with Yavapai College Edventure Programs, which is a nationwide program.Bill and Judy currently live in Marble Canyon and now also operate the Fly Shop adjacent to the Lees Ferry Lodge. Their Fly Shop offers a wide variety of products to meet any anglers needs. Fly Fishing, Spin Fishing, Clothing, and even gifts with a an anglers edge. Their shop works in conjunction offering many package trips available with the Lees Ferry Lodge (the #1 choice for Lodging in the area by most Anglers since 1987).
