Ambient also has an Offshore Software Development Center in Vietnam, staffed through a strategic partnership with FPT Software, the largest exporter of IT Services in SE Asia. This partnership has been in place for over 10 years, and allows us to deliver project-based services using a dual-shore delivery model.

Ambient Consulting, LLC originally was founded in 1984 as David Mitchell & Associates (DMA), an IT consulting organization. Since then, we continued to grow, becoming Ambient Consulting in July 2001.

Scalability: Ambient is larger than most Twin Cities consulting firms, so we have a significant resource pool already in house. As unique resource needs arise, we have a dedicated recruiting team of four full-time professionals with over 60 years of combined recruiting expertise in the Twin Cities market. These individuals are focused on providing the right resources for clients at the right time.

Employee-based and Consultant Friendly: Ambient’s workforce is over 50% employee-based, reducing consultant churn at the client site and on projects. All consultants have a mentor who assists with performance reviews and career planning. We provide competitive benefits, and all consultants are paid on a bi-weekly basis, whether we have been paid by the client or not (unlike many of our competitors).
