The actual time spent in the machine shop seeing various mills and lathes in action is one of the favorite parts of recent training sessions. Many of the participants also make an effort at welding on a sample piece of metal, while donning the various personal protection equipment and practicing standard safety procedures. By having this experience in the machine shop, they better understand the talent, time and equipment needed to do each job safely.
