Metrostudy began in 1975 as American METRO/STUDY Corporation, a housing market research firm founded by Mike Castleman and Mike Inselmann. The company initially surveyed single-family residential subdivisions in the Houston market. During this time, Metrostudy developed and perfected the lot-by-lot survey methodology that continues to set the industry standard today.
