TAKOMA PARK, MD — Jan. 15, 2010 — American Pest is excited to announce that they will be partnering with Washington, D.C’s professional hockey team, the Washington Capitals, to award a player the “Hard Hat of the Game” that is selected by the fans. As presenting sponsor of the Hard Hat, American Pest will let fans have a say! After each Caps win, a poll will be posted on the WashCaps.com website where fans can choose the player who they believe deserves the Hard Hat of the Game. "I've been a huge fan of Washington, D.C. sports for years, particularly the Caps. In fact, I've only missed one home game all season. So when we had the opportunity to support the Caps and reach out to other fans, I jumped on it," says Matt Nixon, CEO for American Pest. In addition to each game winner, a player will be awarded the Hard Hat of the Month based on a cumulative number of wins. By registering and voting online, fans will be entered to win an autographed Hard Hat from the winning player that month. At the end of the regular season, a separate poll will be posted on the WashingtonCaps.com website where fans can vote on the Hard Hat of the Year.
