American Solar Partners has worked with hundreds of IBEW members to install solar power systems on their own homes . Under this program, American Solar Partners provides electricians with a solar kit in order to simplify the installation process as well as provide on-site training in solar power installations.

In the United States, there is a Federal Tax Credit for solar installations. Homeowners are eligible to receive a tax credit for 30% of the total cost of the system.
