AVPS was established in Woodland Hills, California during the summer of 2000. However, Tiffany Segura, the founder of AVPS, has been in the credit card acquiring industry since 1985. She began as a receptionist and by 1989 she was selling merchant accounts for Peachtree/Advanced Payment Solutions. She sold state of the art equipment (Zon Jrs and Envoys) door to door in the greater Los Angeles area. Every step of the way Tiffany worked hard to learn each new facet of the credit card industry. Being diligent and having a niche is the key to the success of any company. AVPS has created a niche through innovative solutions and merchant education, bringing new meaning to merchant processing. AVPS takes the utmost care in the area of underwriting, risk and merchant operations as it relates to both the merchant and the acquiring bank. AVPS works closely with industry specialists that help them stay up to date on regulations helping the merchant stay successful in their business. AVPS takes pride in only partnering with banks and merchants that will produce growth and profitability for all parties. AVPS has partnered with gateway and terminal providers that know the acquiring industry and have properly designed their products to reduce transaction time and mitigate risk. AVPS will train the merchants when they first come on board and work hand in hand with them throughout the life of the account. Most merchants are very proficient at their business, but not the business of credit card processing.
