Participants engage in a question and answer session during the 2009 ANCDS Annual Meeting in New Orleans. Founded in 1983, ANCDS is a group of professionals interested in encouraging the highest quality of life for adults and children with neurologic communication disorders. The purposes of the ANCDS are professional, clinical, educational, scientific, and charitable. What is Evidence-Based Practice? For almost ten years, ANCDS has taken a leadership role in the development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines (CPG) as a method to: The ANCDS Mission -Promote state-of-the art education of practitioners in neurologic communication disorders. -Promote exchange of information and ideas among its members. -Promote research that contributes to better understanding and management of neurologic communication disorders. -Provide leadership in the development of clinical expertise in neurologic communication disorders. -Establish and support liaison with related professional organizations.
