Corporate History Richard E. Anderson, a union carpenter, founded R.E. Anderson Construction Company in 1961. The company's main focus at that time was the construction and renovation of residential homes. Mr. Anderson began using his expertise to build office buildings, restaurants, and multi-housing structures employing as many as 100 union carpenters at a time. In 1975, he and his wife Betty formed and incorporated the business under the name R.E. Anderson, Inc. They decided to use Mr. Anderson's knowledge of construction and Mrs. Anderson's knowledge of accounting to make a life for themselves and their six children.
