Located 25 miles southwest of Chicago, Consolidated High School District 230 serves nearly 9,000 students at three comprehensive high schools: Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park; Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park; and Amos Alonzo Stagg High School in Palos Hills.This week I enjoyed participating in the Senior Honors Night celebrations at all three schools. Each night I noted the list of colleges and universities that our graduates are attending including: Notre Dame, the U.S. Naval Academy, West Point, Purdue, Michigan, Northwestern, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina State in addition to the University of Illinois. While this impressive list is far from complete, it is certainly a sign of the quality education our students have received while in District 230. .
