In Chuck Offenburger ’s hometown of Shenandoah in southwest Iowa, during the Sept. 24-25 “Shenfest ” celebration, they relocated and dedicated one of the boyhood homes of the Everly Brothers. Charter inductees of the National Rock ’n ’ Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, the Everly Brothers got their start performing on their parents ’ radio shows in Shenandoah when they were young boys through their junior high and early high school years before they moved on to Tennessee.
