Angels Unaware..providing support and encouragement for children living with or affected by HIV/AIDs through connecting families with each other. "It helps to know we are not alone." That is what families say about the services and opportunities provided by Angels Unaware. We are a non-profit agency run 100% by volunteers who work with children and families infected or affected by HIV/AIDS, with the primary goal to improve quality of life for those families. Eligibility is based upon a child in the immediate family who is infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. The organization was formed in 1992 by four AIDS families who needed a positive, uplifting, support group where the entire family could meet at the same time. We have helped over 150 families heal over the past decade. Angels Unaware offers children and families a wide range of services including: Monthly support groups - Separate Angels Unaware groups for young children, adolescents, and adults all traditionally meet the last Sunday of every month from 2-4 pm. Seasonal events and visits to local attractions are integrated into these meetings, taking us outdoors and through holiday celebrations. Each year brings new inspiration and new opportunity! Monthly newsletters - We publish a monthly newsletter of upcoming events, current HIV/AIDS research, celebrations, memorials, and general reminders. The newsletter is free to participating families, but a mailing fee donation of $25 is suggested to other parties. Camp Ray-Ray - Free, fun, and relaxing! This is our annual summer camp for families living in the Rocky Mountain Region and the Midwest. Camp runs during Labor Day Weekend at St. Malo (10 miles outside of Estes Park, Colorado).
