Angelwish has been working with Partners In Health (PIH)for several years and we know it to be an exemplary organization providing comprehensive health care in underserved rural areas, particularly in the field of HIV/AIDS. They will be involved in the process for the long haul and will ensure that the funds raised remain in Haiti. Amidst the destruction and chaos, PIH has helped get 13 operating rooms up and running in Port-au-Prince, performing surgeries around the clock. At their sites in the Central Plateau and Artibonite regions, they have 8 more functional operating rooms that are already supplying surgical and medical care to hundreds of earthquake victims. And thanks to a partnership with many people and organizations here in the U.S., they've filled 10 planes with surgical teams and supplies, and have many more scheduled flights throughout this coming week. We encourage you to donate to PIH's relief efforts through this donation page on Angelwish. As usual, we will pass along 100% of your contribution to Partners In Health. Our friends at Sterling Stamos , a private investment firm dedicated to philanthropy and public service, have offered a challenge grant matching all contributions dollar for dollar up to a total $75,000 (if you want to help us raise that matching amount, email shimmy@angelwish.org ).
