Apple Signs was founded in 1979 by James Applegate in an abandoned gas station in Annapolis, Maryland. Business consisted mostly of boat transom lettering, small hand lettered and sandblasted signs, and truck graphics. A steady clientele quickly followed and in 1982 Jim partnered with the late Mike Kumer, a skilled and colorful local sign artist. In 1986, Jim split agreeably with Mike and continued Apple Signs at a new location on Bestgate Road.

November 1, 2013 -- Eric Tabor is taking the 10 years of trusted project management skills he has learned at Apple Signs to join our sales team where he will seek new client relationships throughout the Mid Atlantic region.
