The current technology platform of Applied Biomics, Inc. is 2-D DIGE (2-dimensional differential in-gel electrophoresis) coupled with Mass Spectrometry. This technology offers a powerful and rapid tool for analyzing global protein differential expression in cells and tissues. Using 2D-DIGE, protein extracts from control and experimental samples are first labeled with different fluorescence dyes, and then co-migrated on the same 2-D protein gel. Protein differential expression profiles can be visualized and quantified by fluorescence readout using available software, and protein spots of interests can be identified by mass spectrometry. The technology is reliable, highly reproducible, time- and cost-effective, and has a wide variety of applications in research and discovery. We have developed optimized protocols and methods to meet your research needs. Applied Biomics is also working on development of proteomic products and their applications.
