Applied Utility Systems, Inc. (AUS) was formed in 1985 with the single focus of offering its clients cost-effective engineered solutions for the clean and efficient utilization of fossil fuels. AUS technical and commercial success includes the retrofit of over 7000 MW of electric power generation with low NOx burners (LNBs) and over 3,700 MW of electric power generation with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems. These projects achieved NOx emission levels that are unmatched by any competing technology. In addition to electric utility boilers, AUS has supplied LNBs for petrochemical fired heaters and industrial steam boilers. AUS technological offering is broad-based and includes combustion and post-combustion based NOx control technologies. Among the NOx control technologies offered are the following: - LNBs - Flue Gas Recirculation and other combustion modifications - Ammonia (NH3) Injection (Thermal deNOx) or Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction Systems - SCR AUS offers NOx emissions controls and energy systems to the industrial, utility and petrochemical markets.
