Description

The mission of the American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA) is to enhance the education involved in the care of all wounds, including: acute, chronic, post surgical, post radiation, reconstructive and other problematic wounds. Our purpose is to decrease the incidence of sequellae including major amputations and dysfunction while improving the quality of life for those patients suffering from these complex lesions. This mission is accomplished through an interdisciplinary approach to clinical care, professional education and patient advocacy.
