Mindy Fried, M.S.W., Ph.D. is a sociologist with over 20 years of experience conducting research, teaching and doing policy analysis on work, family and organizational issues (e.g., workplace culture, parental leave, flexible work policies and child care policy). She has done extensive research on early childhood policy issues, with a particular focus on workforce development. Dr. Fried also applies her nearly 30 years of experience as a dancer, as well as a dance therapist and dance educator, to the evaluation of arts and arts education programs.

We have extensive experience working on early care and education policy, and evaluating programs in the field, including programs that promote career development among teachers of young children. Given the growth of state universal pre-kindergarten programs and a range of efforts to ensure high quality programs, such as QRIS, there is a need to identify best practices and to support strong models based on lessons learned. We bring years of experience and a keen eye in evaluating such early childhood policy initiatives.

Dr. Connors is a medical anthropologist with over 15 years of experience conducting research, designing research studies, and evaluating research outcomes and interventions. Dr. Connors has consulted on a range of public health topics including asthma interventions, improving AIDS antiretroviral drug therapy adherence, youth-led tobacco and alcohol harm reduction campaigns, and interventions to address ADHD. She has presented and published in the areas of HIV prevention among drug users, transgenders and HIV risk, substance abuse prevention, health and human rights, and environmental education.

Arbor Consulting Partners (ACP) is a research consulting group that works closely with clients in a variety of sectors to strengthen organizations, policies and programs. ACP is led by senior social scientists with over 20 years of experience as researchers, educators, strategic planners, and public policy analysts. ACP works with a wide range of clients to devise innovative strategies that improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities.
